Homecoming at GSU

Finally homecoming is here– the long awaited week full of events and game against Furman.  I feel like college has literally gone by in the blink of an eye.  I am a senior now and I feel like I was just a freshman in the Eagle Village dorms.  Homecoming is always fun because everyone is out and about and pepped up for the big game.  Being in Phi Mu sorority is also a lot of fun, especially during homecoming.  We pair up with a fraternity and do different socials and activities with them all week long.  Some of the socials are redneck wedding, toga night, and the winery.

This years homecoming them is the circus which I thought was pretty neat.  There is even a freak show- which I missed because I was visiting California, but that was apparently awesome.

My favorite part about homecoming is definitely the football game.  Hopefully GSU will dominate this year because Furman is one of our biggest rivals.  It is also the blue-out so everyone is going to be decked out in blue all day Saturday.  Another great part of the weekend is that a bunch of my friends who graduated in the spring will be back down to visit- so Statesboro is sure to be packed.
